Bulletproof Glass
Campbell specializes in bulletproof glass of varying ballistic ratings to protect all types of facilities and buildings.
We provide bulletproof glass solutions to both residential and commercial clients who want to secure their properties against violent attacks and other threats. Whatever your goals and budgets are, we can come up with a unique solution for you and your property.
Why Would You Need Bulletproof Glass?
Our bulletproof glass products can be used in all kinds of residential and commercial buildings to protect human lives, belongings, and merchandise from armed attackers. For example, a store owner may choose to install ballistic glass to protect a storefront from burglary and looting. Or, a homeowner may want to cover their windows and doors with bulletproof glass to act as security glass and prevent break-ins.
Many facilities also require varying degrees of protection against active shooter scenarios. Even a lower grade of ballistic glass can make the difference between life and death by giving those inside time to react to an attack. Deterring and slowing down attackers greatly increases the odds of survival by providing individuals inside the building time to contact the authorities, escape, make a barricade, or otherwise react.
Locked doors and windows provide a false sense of security, as attackers can shoot them out or break them with some tool. Even if an attacker has a high-caliber weapon that can penetrate lower levels of ballistic glass, the glass won’t shatter and allow them access to the building. The time bulletproof glass delays an attacker is invaluable when it comes to the safety and security of those inside a building.
The average police response time to an active shooter event is 3-5 minutes. During this time, a lot of damage, injury, and death can occur. However, with our bullet-resistant and bulletproof glass products, you can buy time for the authorities to arrive and deal with the situation. We have a full range of products from the low to the high end of the protection scale, so we can provide a solution based on the perceived threats that you or your facility might have to face one day.
Not only that, but many of our bulletproof glass products are designed to be retrofitted onto existing frames, so the installation process is smooth and painless. Some of our products can also be glazed over either the back or front of your existing glass to fortify it without requiring removal and replacement. We are committed to providing our clients with the protection they need against forced entry and armed attackers.
ArmorPlast Security Shields and Ballistic Grade Sheets
We offer ArmorPlast security shields and ballistic grade sheets in different grades for a variety of security applications. Whether you need security glass to prevent forced entry and robbery, or fully bulletproof glass to defend against ballistic attacks, we’ve got you covered. ArmorPlast is favored by many high-security facilities like government buildings, correctional and detention centers, religious facilities, financial institutions, and more.
All ArmorPlast security and ballistic glass products are made up of polycarbonate laminate sheets that retain a high level of visibility, even under repeated attacks. The exterior surfaces have a proprietary AR coating that resists attacks from chemicals, graffiti, and other superficial damage. The hard coating also facilitates cleaning and has a limited warranty against coating failure, yellowing, and hazing.
ArmorPlast 25
ArmorPlast 25 is a non-ballistic glazing shield that doesn’t stop bullets but will not break apart or lose its strength after a ballistic impact. An attacker can shoot through it with multiple bullets, and it will still not shatter or crack. This makes it an effective barrier to entry when keeping intruders out of a building is your primary concern. For example, it is often employed by retail stores to prevent smash-and-grab burglaries.
AmorPlast 375
ArmorPlast 375 is a containment-grade two-ply sheet that has a thickness of 3/8 of an inch. It is ideal for protecting against forced entry and is designed to withstand attacks up to 30 minutes long. Facilities such as schools, religious centers, corporate C-suite entrances, and retail stores can use it to keep would-be attackers, armed robbers, and other intruders out.
ArmorPlast 50
ArmorPlast 125 is a four-ply, 1.25-inch-thick ballistic grade polycarbonate laminate sheet. It meets the HP White TP 0500 Level lV, ASTM F 1233 Class 5, and UL 752 Level 3 rating for a .44 Magnum ballistic attack. ArmorPlast 125 is designed for areas that require a highly specific level of protection, such as doors and windows.
ArmorPlast 75
ArmorPlast 75 is a three-ply, 0.75-inch-thick ballistic grade sheet made up of polycarbonate and acrylic laminate. It meets the UL 752 Level 1 rating for a 9mm ballistic attack. It is a good solution for facilities such as schools, government buildings, religious centers, banks, detention centers, 24-hour convenience stores, cash transaction windows, and others that want to secure entry points and protect against active shooters.
ArmorPlast 100
ArmorPlast 100 is a four-ply, 1-inch-thick ballistic grade polycarbonate laminate sheet. It meets the HP White TP 0500 Level lV and UL 752 Level 2 rating for a ballistic attack by a .357 Magnum. It is a good solution for many of the same applications as the ArmorPlast 75 sheet but has a higher ballistic rating.
ArmorPlast 125
ArmorPlast 125 is a four-ply, 1.25-inch-thick ballistic grade polycarbonate laminate sheet. It meets the HP White TP 0500 Level lV, ASTM F 1233 Class 5, and UL 752 Level 3 rating for a .44 Magnum ballistic attack. ArmorPlast 125 is designed for areas that require a highly specific level of protection, such as doors and windows.
ArmorPlast 125MS
ArmorPlast 125 is a four-ply, 1.25-inch-thick ballistic grade polycarbonate and acrylic laminate sheet. It meets the UL 752 Level 6 rating for high-speed, multi-shot 9mm ballistic attacks. For example, it can withstand ballistic attacks by rapid-fire 9mm firearms such as an Uzi.
What Rating Level of Bulletproof Glass is Right for You?
If you’re considering installing bulletproof glass or other security glass, we will start by evaluating your needs over an initial call. Among other things, we will determine what threat level you want to defend against. We can then assess your property and decide what grades of ballistic sheets to install throughout it for optimal security.
We will also consider your budget when coming up with a proposal. Keep in mind that the higher the ballistic rating of a bulletproof panel, the higher the cost typically is. For the majority of private clients, a material rated at UL752 Level 1 is usually enough, as it is relatively affordable and still provides a good level of protection.
Higher-rated materials are typically used in facilities owned and operated by government agencies, such as courthouses, municipal halls, and police stations. These types of clients often require a higher level of ballistic protection. They also have more budget available to spend on a higher-rated bulletproof glass system.
Another concern when evaluating your property to choose a rating of material is the structural strength of the building. Higher ratings of bulletproof glass are much thicker and heavier than lower ones. Openings like windows might need additional structural reinforcement to support the extra weight if you want to install a higher level of ballistic glass.
Whatever your security concerns, goals, and budget are, Campbell will work with you to find the perfect solution. All our ballistic glass solutions are rated by Underwriter’s Laboratories depending on the material’s ballistic resistance in a lab test. We will help you choose from our range of laminated glass, acrylic, polycarbonate, and glass-clad polycarbonate options.
Leaders in Bulletproof Glass Technology and Installation
We’re constantly testing out new ballistic glass solutions to find cheaper, lighter, more resistant, and more durable options. Our mission is to offer our clients the highest levels of security for their needs at affordable implementation costs. Since we retrofit your property with many of our products and don’t always need to replace existing framing, you’ll often get similar protection to that of a complete window replacement at a much lower cost.
Additionally, we can provide bulletproof glass installation for new construction or replace existing glass on older buildings. We make all our bulletproof panels in our factory and install them onsite on your property in the least disruptive fashion. We remove and replace each glass panel one-by-one, so in case we must leave and return to the property to finish the job, there is minimal inconvenience to you, and the property remains secure.
The whole installation process usually only takes 1-2 days after we have manufactured all the bulletproof glass panels. If you are a residential client, we promise to do our best to keep the interior of your home in good shape and respect your property during the installation. We won’t ever leave your house without windows or improperly secured overnight.
